    T530 with docking station, external monitor wavey horizontal lines?

    Hi All,

    I have a Samsung 26inch external monitor. If I connect it to my docking station via VGA (I have 2, a port replicator and a mini dock) the output on the external monitor has wavey lines, almost like those old refresh rate issues. I checked all settings and all seem correct, tried auto adjust, etc. The monitor is set at a refresh rate of 60. Whats weird is that I also have a older model T530 and the same thing happens when I try to use this one as well.

    If I remove the dock/port replicator from the picture and connect the VGA cable directly to the laptop it appears to be fine. I thought it might be due to a cheap VGA cable but then why would it work connected directly? These laptops came with the docking station with the displayport to DVI adapter so my next step is to get a DVI cable and see if it makes and difference.

    Just wondering if anyone had similar issues.
