I have been trying to upgrade the Intel video driver on my T530 but I keep getting an error message saying that I don't meet the minimum requirements. I have win7 pro 64 and the update package is g1d624ww which is dated Sept. 14, 2012 (this is the one on Lenovo's site). Any ideas as to why I would get that error message?
Also, would I be better to just install the one on Microsofts update page? Thanks.

If it's the correct package try installing the driver manually using the Device Manager.

    Taken from my T420 Q&A:

Thanks for the response. I am still wondering if it is better to install the drivers that are on the Microsoft update site or for that matter the ones on Intel and NVida?

I'll be cautious with such updates from Microsoft, people occasionally notice some odd behaviour with the Windows Update drivers and sometimes it may not work properly at all. For graphic drivers I would choose either the OEM drivers from Lenovo or the generic drivers from the vendor website directly (Intel, NVIDIA or AMD depending which model). But usually the OEM drivers are the most safest.
