    All,

I have a T560 i7-6600u, 16gb, etc... that came with a non-backlit keyboard. Ive found replacement backlit keyboards on ebay for around $50-$60 but I'm not sure if its a plug in replacement... can I just replace the keyboard or are there any weird gotchas with this?

    Thanks,

I believe this should work, though I've not done it myself. You run into problems when you try the backlit keyboards in ThinkPads that didn't offer it like the E or L series. Otherwise they'd have to make two motherboard - one that supports the backlit keyboard and another that does not.

I added a backlit keyboard to the t560. It worked fine. Picked up the keyboard off ebay for about $54.
