    im 99% certain they are in fact the same part, BUT make sure you get the right configuration (PATA or SATA) many people order the wrong one, i know i almost did, i know for a fact that for the X60 and X61 they are the same

    I think that the one you should get is the one from Lenovo, which I believe costs around 50$. Check the serial number on their site (after configuring a T61) and look for it.
