I've recently purchased a 2613-EAU T60 which I think is the best thing since sliced bread.

Unfortunately, I'm having one problem that I've not yet been able to resolve. Whenever I remove or insert the power cord, the screen brightness level (0-7) does not change. The screen does dim slightly, but I believe that it is the bright / dim BIOS setting responsible for this. If, after changing the power state, I use the Fn-F3 key to bring up the power manager window, the screen brightness level does change as necessary. I'm worried that the other aspects of the power profile aren't being obeyed - things like processor speed, etc, but I'm having a hard time testing that aspect.

I am running the power management suite from lenovo's web site version 3.13c; I was also having this problem when running 3.12, prompting the upgrade. The LCD section of the Thinkpad Configuration applet is set to dim the screen on battery power. All relevant services are running.

Does anyone have any pointers as to what I could look for to see what's causing this?

I had this problem w/ mine (2007-93U) but it pretty much went away. go to thinkvantage->thinkpad configuration->LCD If "brightness when running on batteries" is high, the brighntess apparently doesnt go down. Not sure that will work, but try anyways

What I've noticed with my T43 is that if I change the brightness manually, Power Manager stops following the rules set for LCD brightness until I reset the power scheme through the Fn-F3 menu. That might be why your laptop isn't changing the screen brightness when going from AC to battery.
