    Hey all,

So I finally got Vista Ultimate (Windows Feedback Panel), and did a clean install on my T60. Updated everything, ran Windows Update, ran System Update. There are only two weird things that I cannot seem to understand.

    1. System Update always shows the following as recommended updates, but I cannot install them. They keep failing to install:

    Windows Vista Update Module KB932063
    Windows Vista Update Module KB929637
    Windows Vista Update Module KB937500
    Windows Vista Update Module KB941137
    Windows Vista Update Module KB929191

    2. Windows Mobility Center has a couple Lenovo customizations... one of which is Battery Stretch (from Power Manager I am assuming). The weird thing is that if I recall correctly, Battery Stretch is a feature meant only for the T/R/X61s... I tried hitting apply for the setting to enable Battery Stretch and didn't notice anything. Again from memory I remember Battery Stretch supposedly enabling you to power off certain parts while on battery. For me the settings are only to turn off wifi, minimize brightness, mute audio, etc.

If anyone could provide feedback/info on these I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Were you able to get this resolved? I recieved my new T61 yesterday and I am having the same problems. I tried calling Lenovo support, but their only suggestion was to uninstall\reinstall the ThinkVantage System Update app, but after performing that step twice unsuccessfully, the rep I was spoking to blamed it on Vista and said there was nothing else he could do.

I've had something similar re: pt 1.

Lenovo system update states "recommended updates" are available but is unable to install said updates. And they perpetually remain in the Lenovo "recommended updates" list.

But I noticed afterwards that these (or possibly some) updates had already been installed via Microsoft Windows Updates: They were listed as such in the installed updates Windows page, and possibly (as far as I recall) in the Control Panel under Installed Software.

I cannot remember the exact Modules; possibly though, that's what happening in your situation - one updater messing with the other.
