I was told that WiFi abgn was an option for only the WXGA (widescreen) models due to a 3rd attenna requirement and not available for the 14.1 or 15.0 XGA or SXGA screens.

Can someone please confirm, or share, what they know regarding the various T60 models that support WiFi abgn and why?

I am attempting to order a T60 with an option for a WiFi abgn card using the standard 15.0" XGA LCD but am now being told I can only order if I have a widescreen LCD?

    Thanks

I ordered a WSXGA+ T60 WS, and the N option was not available for me. I ordered mine on 2/10

I did notice the "N" option doesn't seem to appear on many/mostly models, but I ordered a standard model--8744-5bu--that includes "N". This is a WSXGA+ model.

    While on this topic:

I don't have an "N" router yet. With my Linksys G router, I get only varying very low-good signal strength indicated, although the connections stays at 54 mbps. Haven't tested actual throughput yet.

With my old Netgear PCCard G adapter, I get Excellent SS almost all the time.
