...could this be in preparation for the T61 std. screen intro?

Are they really going to come out with the T61 14in non-widescreen soon? I was JUST about to buy the T60 14in the other day and today I was was checking the site to found it gone.

Will the price also be similar too?

So has anyone heard of news regarding the vanished T60 4:3 14 inchers?

The sales rep I talked to said the T61p, which will be released early next week, will be available with a 14.1" 4:3 SXGA+. As far as price difference I find that T61's are generally less expensive than T60's (at least when I configure it they are).

The T61p currently has a 14inch SXGA but then it comes with a FireGL card which I don't need but need to pay for, any chance or getting a 14 incher with a normal X1400?

Don't you mean the T60p? The T61p should be using nVIDIA GPUs, not ATIs. To answer your quesiton though, the chances of Lenovo releasing a T61p with an ATI x1400 GPU is like zero % (same applies to the current T60p in case you made a typo).

Haha how much do you wanna bet Lenovo is going to quickly ship all T61 orders right before they announce the T61p. That buys them at least a couple weeks before you receive yours and send it back for a T61p - and then they can delay the T61p until, I dunno, October.

    Two questions:

Will the T60p 14" weigh heavier than the T60 14"?

Will the T60p consume more power than the T60?
