I'm looking for some user experinces on the BOE Hydis FFS UXGA screen.

I've seen direct comparisons involving the LG SXGA+ AND the IDTECH UXGA... But have seen very little on the BOE UXGA.

Can anyone offer their experiences on the BOE UXGA, or, better yet, some sort of comparson involving the BOE UXGA & IDTECH UXGA or BOE UXGA & LG SXGA+?

    any input apprectiated.

You'll be lucky to get any FlexView. The UXGA models have been gone for a while and the SXGA+ are in very limited supply, unless of course you are buying used.

I have two brand new UXGA T60p FV systems on the way. Both have IDTECH screens. I am debating swapping the IDTECH for the BOE Hydis UXGA (which is redily avail. on ebay) or the SXGA+ LG. So, I'm looking for some kind of comparison/input involving the BOE screen. I already know the LG kills the IDTECH in color & contrast, but I would prefer UXGA. Kind of hoping the BOE is better then the IDTECH as well, but I have yet to see or even hear of any comparison involving he BOE. I know the specs are better.

I wouldn't even mind seeing a pic comparison between the BOE UXGA and a 14" SXGA+... would give an idea, since I know how the IDTECH compares to the 14" SXGA+...

Here is my old T42 with FlexView which I believe was the IDTech though I could be wrong next to the WSXGA+ Z61m if that helps. I'm guessing Lenovo will not look kindly on your warranty if you swap the screens if you care.

The FlexView is on the left.

Thanks for the pic... I do care about the warranty, but i'm sure they wont even find out. what, does the system broad cast a message of the internet if i modify it? :) Just kidding. I got the onsite warranty on my system, I'm sure that the guys that come to your house to do service wouldnt even notice, let alone care.

that aside, can ANYONE offer a comparson involving the BOE screen and *any* other lenovo screen?

    thanks...
