    Any help would be appreciated.

I have a T60 and the Advanced Mini Dock. Usually, I undock it and use it on the couch. I usually put it in Sleep mode when I am done and put it in the dock. I then undock and use again.

When I try to use the laptop while it is docked, I never can seem to get it the monitor to come up. It is on but it doesn't recognize it. I then begin to tinker and push bottoms to figure it out and then end up turning it off and then it says it was not turned off normally.

I am thinking that I should put it into a different mode when I am done and before I dock it. Do you think it is necessary to completely power it off? Would hibernate work?

I am using Vista Home Premium.

    Thanks!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't remember as I don't use it on the dock a lot.

The more I think about it - I think it has always been this way. I've only had it about 2 months and I just don't recall it working seamlessly.

Maybe update the video drivers / BIOS / Power Manager? That's all the reasons that I can think of it doing that. I dont have the dock, so I cannot really speak from experience.
