    Hey guys

I recently did a reinstall of windows xp pro on my t60 (completely clean even deleted the hidden partition) and it has been working wonderfully except for one issue, I cannot find the driver for PCI DEVICE. It is yellow in device manager because I couldn't find the correct driver and it is really annoying me because the new hardware found comes up whenever I restart.

In device manager it is listed as other device --> unknown device but when it's doing the new hardware found thing it always tries to find the one for pci device. It anyone had this problem and solved it or knows that the correct driver is it would be really appreciated.

If you saved the IBMTools folder, burn it onto a disc. Then when you go to update the driver, have it search the disc.

Here's how I try to deal with that problem.
1.) make sure intel matrix storage is installed.
2.) make sure chipset driver is installed.

everything else should be peripheral devices. so after the 2 above are done, Make a list of every device on your computer (your order list would be helpful here). Check your list against device manager and see what's missing.

In your case focus on PCI devices like modems, if I'm not mistaken the wifi card is mini pci

    Good Luck
