Quick question. The T60 offers the ATI x1400, whereas the T60p offers the ATI FireGL v5200. I know the first is more of a gaming card and the latter a workstation card, but would the second be a much better choice for gaming because of its increased performance. How often do compatability issues arise? The FireGL is equivalent to an x1600, but I know it's not designed for gaming. Could you still use it for gaming?

Perhaps the HP nc8430 with the x1600 is worth a look if you want to game.

nothing really matches a thinkpad unfortunately.
my Asus will last me until Lenovo goes widescreen (i know, they have the Z series, but they're not Lenovo's flagship)

The Z is more solid than the T in my opinion.

Zaz, can you share with us the reason/s why you think the Z is more solid than the T. You might know something/s we don't.

The roll cage on it is definitely stiffer than the T. Plus with the titanium lid.

That's a really good graphic card! The Intel GMA950 can already handle all my images and videos editing needs, I'm sure an ATi X1400 would do so much more.

Is the lid actually titanium? I was under the impression that it was just titanium-colored, but I have no way to back that up.
