Sorry if this has been posted a lot (searched, but maybe I didn't search well enough), but is it guaranteed that the 160 GB 5400RPM has Perpendicular recording technology or that the 100GB 7200RPM is indeed the Hitachi?

    Thanks all

The 100 GB 7200 RPM is the Seagate Momentus 7200.1 16MB Cache, 2 Platter.

The 160 GB 5400 RPM I do not know as I did not configure mine for it. I am sure other T60 owners will chime in on this thread and confirm whether or not the 160 GB is either the 5400.3 Perpendicular Momentus or equivalent.

Here is the device manager info about my hard drive. My machine is type 2613.

When I google the second hard drive, my internal hard drive, I get this as the #1 link. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822146053 which is indeed hitachi. Perhaps different machine types have different 100RPM hard drives.
