    Hi,
I'm looking at getting a T60 and I was wondering how easy it is to upgrade the memory myself (its the 14" model with 512 mb). From what i can read it looks like i have to take off a whole bunch of screws including the one that holds the palm rest down.

    Thanks,
    Scott

It's not hard at all, I have the T60 2623D6U model and I've just upgraded the memroy to 2GB 2x 1GB DDR2. and sold the factory 512 on ebay lol.

Hey Joeycyw, this is OT, but I was thinking of ordering the model you have. How do you find the SXGA+ resolution on the 14" screen? Do you feel that it is a strain to the eyes at all?

The 1400 x 1050 resolution is beautiful, I use photoshop, excel and visio a lot and the resolution really helps. However, you might find the text on some web site hard to read, just increase the font size and you'll be fine. If all else failed, just go back to 1024x768.
