AFAIK, all the new T60s should come with 1 stick of RAM if you've ordered 512Mb or 1Gb.

Sorry for my incompetence when it comes to hardwares.
If I were to want to upgrade to 2g later, assuming that I have the one stick 1g, which one do I buy, from lenovo through discount, the option that were there when I ordered the T60 had this
    1GB PC2-5300 CL5 DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM for about 170 canadian
Would I buy one from lenovo or should I consider thrid party. If I do, what RAM would I need, would I have to buy the exact model I saw? on newegg, those pc2-5300 cost more than 170 canadian if i were to convert them.

I have always heard people saying, take advantage of dual channel, would 2 sticks better than one? say total RAM you want devide by two. I assume it would be like raid 0 to harddrive?

    cheers
    SJ

Memoery from lenovo is kind od expensive, i plan to personnaly put at least 2 gigs in my t60 when I get it. I love OCZ memeory so I plan to use that.
