I am posting this as a follow up to the thread
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=141584

Basically the problem is that, regardless of video card, the T60 exhibits the screen flickering/going blank then coming back on upon logon. At first I thought this was due to people with only the ATi video card. however, the above linked thread shows otherwise.

I also thought at first that this issue was related to the PowerPlay option to override the refresh rate. I specifically do remember when I first got my T60 in March that I was able to play with this setting among some others and was able to fix it such that when I log on it doesn't do that. However, since then and numerous updates etc etc it seems to have returned again. I am running Windows XP Pro and Catalyst 7.6 (from ATi's website).

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Do you guys get this too on the other lines (T61, X60, X61, etc etc) ?
