I have not performed a Clean install on my 1 month old (Bran New) T60 with no new software other than Windows XP Ser 2 updates.

I have currently everyday around 85 to 90 processes running drawing between 2 to 7% CPU Usage with only Internet (Explorer) & Windows (explorer) open.

How many processes are you experiencing with/without a Clean Install?

Also, I believe new file processes have come-on aboard without my intentional (knowing) doing since first Firing-Up my machine!

I know this Thread has been discussed! But has anyone cataloged the Files running these processes for their Need / Usage.

She's still superfast (most of the time)!

    Thanks,

    Sircas

I went to about 70-80 down to around 50-60 after clean install.

The key is that the 50-60 processes I have running now I want to have running. The 70-80 before clean install were useless to me (most of them anyway). :)
