Hi, I am a newbie here. Maybe this question is kind of strange.
I intend to buy T60 but I have a question and need answer here. I called Lenova support and they are not quite sure and give me contraditary answers with one says YES and another NO.
I have T23 with Ultrabay 2000 HD adapter. I always use 2 HD with internal load with XP and Ultrabay with Linux.
Now I want to do the same thing in T60.
The question is: If I buy the Ultrabay Slim adapter for T60, can I still use the old Traverstar 40GB ATA/IDE HD (used in my old Ultrabay 2000 adapter with T22) in the new Ultrabay Slim adapter to apply into the T60?
Or I MUST get a new SATA or PATA HD? I checked the HITACHI website for those new HDs and don't see the Interface is different with my current 2.5 inch Travelstar ATA/IDE HD used in T22. I tried to google the ATA2 ~ATA7 interface but can not find any useful information. I knew 3.5 inch HD the IDE and SATA interface is different, will this also true for 2.5 inch HD? How come I see the HITACHI site the new 2.5 inch HD with PATA/SATA all showing the 44 PIN very similar to my old T22 HD?
Here is the URL for the Ultrabay Slim adatper for Lenova:
http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/...?category-id=CCDA42252F5E4A789338E400478166B3
Does any T60 owner already use this two HD application? I think this internal HD with XP and 2nd HD in Ultrabay with Linux is quite popular in some coding and engineering guys.
Please help. Thanks.

If you have the PATA drive bay for the T42/43 models, that drive should work fine in the T60. Some of the terminology changes with different transfer speed increases, but the connector itself stayed the same.
