I am very happy with my last notebook R40e, which I have used for more than 2 years. Now I have decided to buy a new one from T series. The problem is I can't decide which one should I purchase, the major concern is about the graphic cards.(Yes, I will do some gaming on this laptop.)

1.The video card configuration of T60 on lenovo's site says it's x1400 128m hypermeory, does it mean it's 64M dedicated and 64M shared from system RAM or something esle?

    2. The x1400 card is clearly not an impressive card option these days(can be found everywhere) and it has been on the T60 for quite a while, Do you think Lenovo will implant a better card like x1600 or something in the near future?

    3. From what I have been reading, the FireGl v5200 card on T60P is designed mostly suitable for the business applications, but T60P's 3DMark 2005 score is still very high(around 3400, according to a stickie thread on the forum), does it mean it is capable of running the most recent 3d games smoothly?

Your answers will be definitely appreciated!!

    1) The X1400 has 128MB dedicated, and supports another 128MB shared if you want.

    2) Absolutely not, since it's not a gaming machine. They may upgrade at some point but not until the next model comes out.

    3) The v5200 in architecture is an X1600 but has different clock speeds. It will run faster than the X1400 in games certainly.

If you really want to game, the HP nc8430 or Asus W3j with the x1600 will offer better gaming performance and good build quality. Just a thought anyway.
