My ultrabay has some definite wobble to it, ie, the DVD drive AND my extra battery seem to float around in the area, despite being 'locked' in. That entire side of the laptop 'squishes' when I squeeze it.

Anyone else have this happen? I bought a 87445BU, a preconfigured machine from the TAbook bestseller category. Are those not as well built? I handled a 14" T60 previously, and it seemd to be more solid.

    tay,

I have both a t60 (8741-49U) and z61m which both have a small amount of space surrounding the dvd drive. However, both batteries are locked in tight.

    I have a T60 wide.
The battery and the DVD drive is quite "firm" for me.

I do not have ultrabay battery, but DVD burner is somewhat loose on my Z61t. I.e., there's a slight gap above and below the drive. I wouldn't say "entire side of the laptop 'squishes'", but I can squezee it and it doesn't feel as sturdy as the other side of the laptop
