This seems like such a helpful forum. I really appreciate it. I have a couple of little niggling issues I've been wondering about re: my new T60.

    1. When I go to a dual-display "presentation" scheme (via Fn+F7) it resets my resolution and moves around the icons from the lower right of my screen. I see why it does this -- so that the icons don't disappear off the edge of my screen. But... do I have to reset my own resolution to output via the VGA port? Is there any way to get it to put my icons back where they came from?

    2. On my desktop's MCE OS, I can have as many Quick Launch icons in the taskbar as I want, but the XP Pro on my T60 only lets me have three -- surely I can change a setting somewhere and get more?

    Thanks in advance!

Do you mean you can only see three at a time? Like if you add more than three, you'll see the first three, then a double arrow? If you click on the double arrow you'll see the rest.

To see them all, unlock the taskbar. Right click on an empty spot on the taskbar. Uncheck "Lock the Taskbar".

Now you should see a horizontal line after the double arrows. Hover your mouse over the horizontal line, the icon will change to <-->. Slide the line to the right to expose as many icons as you want.

I think if you lock the taskbar again, it will still show all of your quicklaunch icons.

Oh. Duh, that was easy. Thanks.

Any presentation-meisters have an answer to my other dumb question? :)
