I'm thinking of buying a T60 for university. I already have a model picked out, but I'm just wondering whether I should buy it now or later on during summer. There was a sale on the model just a week ago where the price went from 1,499 to 1,299.What I'm wondering is, if Lenovo has back to school sale, is it worth waiting for? Or should I buy the laptop the next time they have a sale on it. Also if there is a back to school sale, during what time would it start? Don't know if this will make a difference, but I'm looking to buy the laptop through the Canadian website.

If you are looking at the 15" version then I think you can wait. The 14" is no longer sold at lenovo.com and has been replaced with the T61. I think once the T61 15" comes out the T60 15" will drop more in price. Waiting longer for the T60 14" is risky since the prices are low and might be selling out fast.

Thanks, it's a t60 widescreen, so I guess I'll be waiting then. But could somebody tell me if the Canadian Lenovo website has back to school sales? It seems like the US site has more sales then the Canadian site.

Check out Visaperks.ca as well.

There typically aren't any sales going on at Lenovo Canada other than pre and post-boxing day periods (i.e. mid November to end of December). You can always hold off your purchase until later when prices go down, but once they go pretty low, they will be replaced by newer more expensive models. visaperks.ca would be your best bet for a good deal.
