    I don't think there's an onboard RAM. Hmmm.. If ever there is maybe it should be only 640KB which is standard since 8086 days. Enough to run PC-DOS. :) But I'm really not sure if there is an onboard RAM.
    You mean it would still be operable with both slots empty? Probably not.

    Modern boards do not operate without added RAM. Some laptops (ultraportables in particular) attach the RAM straight to the board in order to save space; the T60 is not such a machine.
