    anyone know where I can check out a T60 or Z60 in NYC or on long island
    like to see it before I buy

    Office Depot carries ThinkPads. J&R has them as well I think, but I could be wrong.

    J&R has a few old models (eg,T30): no current ones. Best buy for business sells current thinkpads, but they are not stocked in the stores, and are only available on special order. I was in the same quandry your are, wanting to see the machines before ordering. There's no way to do it in NY!! Lenovo's return policy is liberal so you can simply return a unit if you don't like it, or order two and return one.

    I called officedepot, they dont carry it in the store
    Maybe someone living in the area can let me take a peak at their thinkpad
