Just got my new T60. At the bottom 2 corners, there is noticable darkening of the LCD. (Niticable when the background is white, that ius.) Is this typical? Is it worth returning? (I have just spent HOURS configuring the system!)

    Thanks

I have the identicle darkening in the lower corners on my new T60 (SXGA+). I've had 2 other t60's recently, and the darkening, while a little variable, seems to be a feature of the backlighting on the IBM screens. It is not a defect. Others have commented on it. My screem is the TMD one.

I have the same darkening at each bottom corner. As long as light is there at all, I'm fine with it.

Mine is the same. It's just the backlighting. It's quite a poor design, they should have put one at the top, too, and fixed that problem.

Sigh. Still sounds like a defect ... just a universal one

Same problem on the z60m and T60. From a bit of playing around, it seems to be from the mounting points that hold the LCD, from the tension on the hinges. If you wiggle the hinges a bit, ir "tweaks" the backlight marks right at the corners in the same area.
