hi, i cracked my screen and was planning to repair it myself. I checked out a few part specs but couldn't find any issues with replacing my cracked 14.1 inch XGA with a SXGA screen. I am assuming that the screen video cable and inverter will work on both an XGA and SXGA screen  This was not the case with the T40 series from what i can tell, it needed a specific cable and inverter. Could someone confirm this off the top of their heads?? ... many thanks in advance.

I believe you are referring to an SXGA+ replacement LCD.

Anyway, back to the question at hand.....Yes, the LCD video cable and inverter board will work with either a XGA or SXGA+ replacement LCD. Click for reference. The same FRU part numbers are used for the XGA and SXGA+ LCD video cable and inverter board.
