I know the T60 has the 256MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 vs the 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 in the T61. I assume there will be a big difference in performance between the two graphcis cards?
Also what is the difference in battery life between the 2 models with these cards? Will the T61 have better life?
Is there any noticeable difference with the new santa rosa processors wityh the 800mhz?
Also how come the T60 is more expensive then the newer T61?
Can anyone tell me what games they are able to run smoothly on either of these laptops?
thanks!

Well, most T61's have the Nvidia discrete graphics option and not the ATI. Only certain regions have the ATI discrete graphics option for the T61. Also, the FireGL 5250 is on the T60p. So its kind of apples and oranges to compare the T61 to T60p. A better comparison would be the T60p and T61p (whenever that gets released).

As of right now I am trying to figure out weather the T60p (correction) or the T61 would suit me better, since I need a laptop for school and summer and with the lenovo shipping delays I want to get it in time.

correction - I meant to ask about the comparison of the
ATI Mobility Fire GL V5250 256MB in the T60p and the nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M in the T60 related to gaming -
Okay. The FireGL 5250 in the T60p is still a stronger "horsepower" card than the NVS 140m offered in the T61. A benefit of the NVS 140m is the the shader 4.0 (dx 10) support and would be more futureproof in that respect, but the performance wouldn't be as great.

I heard that the T61 will play games such as Battlefield 2 and Half Life 2, which impressed me and are pretty much the most graphics intensive games that I play (not that I need my laptop to do it perfectly, but nice to run it ok)
How does the battery life compare with 9 cell in the T60p compare with the 7 cell in the T61 (since santa rosa is supposed to help battery life)?
Also if I was to put XP on instead of vista (since im not a vista fan) does dx10 work in xp, or that that an only vista thing? -
Anyone have any further insight about this? I'm also having to choose between the t61 and t60p. Whenever the t61p, the price would probably be too much for me.

DirectX 10 is exclusive to Vista. I haven't had a chance to fire up any games on my T61, so I can't offer anything with regards to how it performs. That said, I don't see why it wouldn't be able to play Battlefield 2 or HL2 at decent fps since those games have been around for a while.
