Think I found a model which could be a good choice for me.
The model I'm talking about is the 2007-72U, with
    - T2500 @ 945PM,
    - 1GB RAM,
    - 100GB HDD @ 5400RPM,
    - X1400, SXGA 15inch @ 1400*1050,
    - DVD-RW,
    - Wireless pro 3945A/B/G (duh!)
    - bluetooth
    - Fingerprint reader, active prot. system
And some more standardlike preloaded things (I was surprised to see that there are programs from Google preloaded too  :()

But what do you guys think: should I wait a little longer, to see what more models are coming available, or is this OK?
Looking to the basic specs, it's quite the notebook I'm looking for...

No doubt an excellent system. Quite pricey I'm sure too. But it may not arrive for a while, so unless you are prepared to wait and have a viable solution for a computer for possibly the next few months enter in those digits.

That's why I was looking to a T2500. A T2600 is overkill (and too expensive) for me, and because I'm not from the USA this verizon thing is useless. And the price. I was looking for let's call it a 'high-end notebook in the mid-range market' from the start.
And the waiting? Can handle it... :)
Oh, wait. What I said about the T2600, it's the same for the model with the 7200rpm hdd

If you are not from the US you are probably going to have to wait even longer. Great machine though.

Yeah. As I mentioned earlier, one of the local sales reps told me the official releasedate would be 14th of Feb here also. But he made this remark that, the more 'high-end' the model is, the longer it takes to come available. He thought it would be somewhere between late February, or the first two weeks of March.

Those dates are highly optimistic I would say. People are just now receiving Z series laptops announced last fall, so unless the company learned their lesson and has items ready to sell when announced it may be a couple of months wait.

He said that these dates are only what he could tell at that moment (it is already a couple of weeks ago I made the phonecall). How it's going to be in practice, it was also unknown for him.

I've been waiting for this review for a long time now! Will you be checking out the power drain issue when a USB device is connected? And what type of video card did they include in the notebook?
