Hi guys
It's been like a couple of years since I've been here, I've missed this place.
Well my thinkpad t60p which I bought in 2007 had a battery problem from the get-go. I would get a, irreprable damage to the battery has occured replace with a new one, message infrequently. Lenovo stated that my battery was not part of the recalls and so would not issue me a new one. Now exactly a week after the 3 year warranty on my thinkpad runs out, my battery dies. It still held 65% of it's full capacity charge and it just suddenly just died. I find this ridiculous because I have friends whose 5 year old HP and Toshibas hold charges for at least 20 mins, this is critical since the power goes out often here and I'd hate to lose my work.
Now the predicament I am in is, I am no longer in the USA so it's extremely difficult and expensive for me to get a replacement. I was wondering about replacing the cells my self. I did a little researching and has anyone done this with a T60p battery model # 92P1133. The cells are panasonic I was wondering if anyone knew the exact model and voltage and mAH so I could check if this was financially feasible before I rip my battery pack apart. I am assuming since the design volatge is 10.8 v and there are 9 cells each battery is 1.2v.
Any info is helpful thanks.

After the first year, the battery can go at any time. Batteries are pretty cheap in the outlet. Perhaps you know someone stateside who could buy a battery and send it to you?

You have the 14" t60, same as mine. i had the 6 cell and 9 cell. i wonder if you want to buy the 9 cell. i used it for about few months than bought the 6 cell to save 1/2 lbs weight.
