WHats up guys.
I have a T60P 14.1 and my fan is making the loudest noise once it is on.
When it is running low fan, it is nice and quiet, but when it is on high speed, its like a 747 jet !
I even got a "fan error" when I restarted my notebook one time.
I am curious on what fan options I have to so I can replace it?
I dont want to get the ridiculously expensive IBM fan, i heard something like SUNON fan, but I don't know which is compatible with my t60P.
Can someone direct me in the right direction?
Thanks!

They're around $20-30 on eBay. Search for "T60p fan" or check for the FRU number from your current part.

Just make sure on Ebay it is a genuine part. I've run across a lot of fakes lately...

would I be better off with just same replacement fan or should I buy a different and/or better fan like SUNON ?
thanks again guys! -
You prttey much are better off with a direct factory placement. Besides i don't think Sunon makes a specific fan for the T60. The heatsinks/fans on laptops models tend to be brand and model specific so its typically not good idea to go for anything other than a genuine replacement part. Good luck with you replacement. Let us know how it goes. Also when you do do the replacement use Artic silver on the heatsink.
