Thinking about it, if it is true, sounds like a ways off. If you need to buy now, then buy.

Like most matte screens, the screen on the 14" will darken as you go off center. The IPS does this as well, but not nearly as much. The FlexView is brighter and has better contrast. Movies do look better on the IPS although the 14" isn't bad as I recall. Not much of gamer so no help there. If you really want to game or watch movies there are probably better choices.

I don't understand why they don't have flexview for the t60 14 inch models either. DIdn' the t43 models have flexview on the 14in models?

According to the Tabook, FlexView is exclusive to 15"...even in the T4x's.

They do not make any 14" IPS screens to my knowledge.

15" only, and it's not as though Lenovo has any control over it. Lenovo doesn't make LCD glass, it just buys what's available. It may ask for 14" IPS screens, but that doesn't mean it's going to get it.

Maybe they were available elsewhere in the world before, but they just introduced SXGA+ 15" flexview in both the T60p and T60 in the US market. That doesn't seem to bode well for a 14" flexview in the near future.

Actually FlexView has been around for about 3 years in the T4x series, when the 15" debuted. Only in the 15" to the best of my knowledge.

Yeah in all that time there has been no 14" FlexView.

Maybe flexview will come in the new 14" WIDE screen?? What a quandry that'd be for us traditional screen purists lol

    Ugh, don't even say that!

If it's WSXGA+ I think I could handle it, since tiling would be reasonable at that point. But they'd probably make it WXGA+ and glossy to boot.
