T60p 200794u Shipping date delayed....

Just got off the phone with lenovo.... they said the shipping date of my 200794u is a month from now.... mid april... anyone else get this estimate?

For what it's worth ordered a 2623D6U on 3/7/06 org. est. ship date was 4/17... They just move the date back to 4/13. It seems hard to figure any pattern on Lenovo ship dates.

 

I thought it had at first, but it was a partial shipment... I also ordered a docking port, and only the docking port has shipped :\ My 2623DDU is still "in process".

 

Mine shipped today, didn't we order around the same time?

 

Yea, I think so. I wonder if the dock / split order thing kinda threw it for a loop though. I see this:

But on the plus side, "I agree to the delay" option is gone. Maybe that's a good sign

 

I called today because I wanted to order the 2623-D8U;
Raj (seriously the guy's name) told me the order was going to take 6-8 weeks.....

 

Where seems to be the fastest place to order one of these puppies? I need a laptop by the first week in April...and I would really like the T60p. Should I just place an order with Lenovo and get in line or try to grab one up from a reseller on the hopes they might get a couple in?

 

Getting in line is a relative thing... My order date was 3/7 with a ship date of 4/17, then 4/13 now 4/29. Go figure...

 

oops... make that 5/1. I might be going with somthing from Portable One.

 

well, there are a few available on Ebay, assuming the seller actually has the item in hand it should arrive to you within a week. through Lenovo, unless they offer a "buy today, ship today" option, there is no chance you would have one by the first week of april.

I'm currently in the process of ordering a 2623-DDU and just have a small query about my quote. I'm at the stage now of emailing my Rep. back and forth to "fine tune" my quote.

Originally, my DDU was listed on my quote as:

now, for some reason (and i'm waiting for a response from my Rep.), the description in the quote has changed to:

Does anybody know what "CONFIGURED SYSTEM" or "EXP T60" might mean?

EXP is express. I don't think "configured system" stands for anything specifc. You will is also see CTO which is Configured to Order.

 

I bought mine today at CDW and it shipped so I should have it in my hands tomorrow. I can't wait! Now off to buy extra RAM... They had 2 models in stock so I pounced on one, 1 is still available if anyone is looking.

P.S. Anyone want to buy a lightly used X41?

 

Ordered 200794U on 3/28, got scheduled shipping on April 19.

 

I ordered the 2623D7U on 3/24. Promised ship date was 4/22.
It has now jumped to 4/25.

For what it is worth, I hear these estimate dates are pretty
bogus. Many have had a 4-week estimate only to have it shipped
within a week.

I hope I am one of the lucky few.
