Anyone know how to get rid of it?
I've done a bios update, everything is up to date.
I tried to do a search, but this stupid forum google search thing sucks

I bought my T60p a year ago and it seems somewhat identical to yours. I noticed it as well and apparently it is the CPU doing that when going adjusting speed based on usage.
Only fix, as far as i know, is to disable this feature in the BIOS though it will most likely decrease your battery time some due to the CPU will always run at full speed then.

Hope it helps (i dont notice it anymore, my ears just filter it out now adays xD)

It's not the CPU, it's the power regulation circuitry that feeds the CPU on the motherboard and some people have succeeded by exposing the system board, locating the source of the sound and adding some "insulation" in the form of glue from a glue gun.
