I cannot standby or hibernate my system from my keyboard using the fn key or from the shutdown menu stand by is grayed out and I cannot select it. In power manager if I enable hibernation it disables it, when I save and exit. I did disable the thinkvantage security and fingerprint reader, don't know if it would have something to do with it or not. I was recently infected with a trojan virmundo which would launch pop-ups from ie 7 shortly after start up. I have fixed that problem and in order to fix it I disabled the client security solution. Since then I have noticed that I cannot hibernate or standby.

I did but will try again. I uninstalled the power manager even the Ati drivers as some had said it tended to be improperly installed video drivers but no luck. Even updated bios and CSS and fingerprint software. I reinstalled everything but no luck yet. In control panel the option to enable hibernation is not even there but the hiber.sys file is on my root folder as it should. I even updated the bios and controllers as some claim that was causing their issues.

can someone post a screen shot of their system devices list within device manager in control panel I have a feeling I am missing something there. Preferably from a T60p.
