Fellows NBR'ers, I need your help.

I ordered a T60p back in March 2007 and received 2 delays on it, causing me to lose the AMEX Tailormade 15% discount. I received $200 ($100 for each delay x 2) in credit from Lenovo and a 15% discount towards my next order, which was going to be a T61p.

I ordered a T61p on 7/11/07 and est. ship date is now mid-September after 2 delays. I contacted my Customer Relations Manager in charge of my case and she said no additional compensation would be offered. Am I being reasonable when I ask for additional credit in compensation for these 2 delays on my new order? (on top of the 15% discount and $200 credit from the previous debacle)

Any more discounts and you would be getting it for free :p I think they would already be going below Cost price, So I doubt you will get anything extra out of them. It sucks that you got screwed over though :(.

It's absolutely reasonable to expect compensation for these continued screwups by Lenslowvo. You'll need to persist though as they will blow you off if you give them the chance. As for the Customer Relations Management Team, if that fails go to the BBB and file a complaint.

And don't believe that 'below cost' line of BS.

Take Retail price. Multiply that by .6. That's going to be the dealer price. CDW probably pays .5
Now take that price and divide it by 4.
Now you are getting close to cost.

    EX Retail = $3000
    Dealer cost = $1800
    Lenblowvo's actual cost = $450

If you believe anything else I have a bridge in NYC I can give you a deal on too.

Lenovo's bottom line cost to create the laptop is irrelevant in this situation. Just because it costs them a substantially lower amount of money to create a laptop doesn't mean they are able (nor are you entitled) to sell/receive that laptop at cost.

mca2k4 had problems with his T60p order and was compensated for that. (to include a discount on his next purchase) He has been delayed his shipment of the T61p laptop as have hundreds of other people. His situation is no more unique as it is genuine to other people who are riding out the delay as patiently as possible.

Having used the 15% discount with the T61p order he has in-fact acknowledged their compensation as sufficient by purchasing further with Lenovo. Attempting to shake more "consolation gifts" out of Lenovo for delayed shipment isn't really going to play well on the CSR and CSM's who've had to listen to hundreds (if not thousands) complain about the same issue each day.

If you're on the critical list, had your shipping upgraded to express, and received anything else from Lenovo on this particular order, you've just about tapped the well dry. Trying to push for anything else (when you really don't have to do business with this company) is just pure greed.
