    Hello Guys,

Need help. Not sure has anyone done this before and is successful. I am thinking of replacing my CPU for my 2623DDU Thinkpad 60p from a T2500 CDuo 2.0GHz to a T7600 C2D 2.33GHz. Is it worthwhile to do this CPU upgrade and justified for the $$$ paid?

I would need to know how much is this over here and where to get it. Also, would it be easy to DIY this myself? Hope it is not risky as I do not want to ruin my nice laptop.

    Thanks in advance! :D

Check the sticky for the hardware maintenance manuals and the support videos. They will show you how to do it. I personally didn't find it that hard. The LCD or antennas are worse. Dollar wise it's probably not justified unless you have a specific need for the extra MHz. I only did mine cause I got a great deal on a T7400. It's unlikely I would have done it otherwise. They both downclock to 1GHz when in low power mode, which is all I need for Internet and Office. I think the reason to do it is if you want to run a 64 bit Operating System, which the T2500 can't do.
