    hi, I have decided to get a T60p, however i want to wait for the merom cpu. Anyone has any idea on when it will hit the shelves?

    it already hit the shelves.. (since 27/07), BUT it won't be built into notebooks until end of august.. and you -will- have to spend alot for it

    The T usually comes faster than most, but end of August may be optomistic.

    I don't think this is true. Core 2 Duo or Conroe has been available from that date, but Core 2 Duo (Merom) for laptops, has not been officially released yet.


    It should be the same price as Core Duo, but upon release it probably won't be.
