I have been offered this notebook (used but with on site repair service, 9x5next business days) warranty for another 20 months).
Is it a reliabel model? It uses the T2600 processor, the wirelss 2915abg (NOT the 3945) and the ATI fireGL 5200 graphic interface.

This graphic chip is specially dedicated for graphical applications (autocad etc) . Does it also run new 3D games flawless?
How about heat dissipation under full load ?

    Thanks for help.

The graphics chip is pretty ok. Thou, I do not know what expectations/requiements you have of the gaming performance.

Some guys at work have similar T60p computers (with 3940 and/or V5250 and/or T2500 - T7600) and they do not complain about the gaming speed. They play Quake 4, Serious Sam II and Civ 4 sometimes on LAN, but of course, not with the highest graphics details (with setting so they can have at least 25 FPS for Qauke/Serious Sam)

But I would advice you to buy a Dell if you want to use your computer for gaming.

Yeah, the T60p model you are describing is one of the older ones without the Core 2 Duos, instead it uses the Core Duo series.

As for gaming performance, it really depends upon what games your playing and at what detail levels too.

As for heat I think its not that hot though. I definitely would recommend though if you do get this used laptop to upgrade the wireless card - there are a lot better ones out there now, and probably updating the RAM as it probably is only 1GB or even less /gasp
