    Hi

I've been looking into getting a new laptop. So far the choice in narrowed down to either a:

    T60p (Intel Core Duo 2.16GHz, 1GB RAM, 256MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5200, 14.1" 1400*1050, XP Pro)

    or a

    T61 (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 128MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M, 15.4" 1650*1050, Vista Buisness).

    Price is the same.

Usage is school, web/email and a bit of gaming. Which one is best performance wise? Which one is best in regards to reliability?

It will depend on what you are looking for. If you want a 14" (non widescreen) then go for the T60. Personally I'd go for the T61 - it is more recent, has a better video card and higher screen resolution.

The T61 appears to have a better CPU and more memory as well.

True, but a 14" notebook is more portable which is probably more important than the specs of either notebook. They'll offer fairly similar performance.
