    Is the flexview brighter than the standard? What is the nits rating in comparison?

    I paid 2200+ for mine in March.

    with the SPP and coupon it prices out at 1800 +/- right now.

    The IPS flexview screen is 200 nits. This is a bit brighter than the TN standard T60 screen rated at 180 nits. If I remember correctly, the T61's TN widescreen is 220 nits. These numbers are so close, however, that I'm not sure you'll notice a great difference among the screens in terms of brightness. It's having the IPS technology that makes the great difference re: color reproduction and viewing angles.

    If you are used to a glossy screen, it's not that bright.
