i want to get T61, but one thing really bothers me.

"off-centered screen (uneven right and left side)"

By your experiences, it is not bothering you while using it?

Does T60 have the same screen?

if not, i might want to get T60.......

also i have heard that the packaging for Lenovo products has been

downgraded with cheap plastic feeling. is it really that bad?

One last thing......is there anyone who placed an order recently for T or X and still having a trouble to get it?

(Does X series have same problem to get it?)

by packaging do you mean the box it comes in, or the chassis?

T61 seems to be very problematic,
    Get a T60!
    Unfortunately no 14" T60 any more :(

According to Andrew's review and some other reviews that I have read, the off-centered screen is not something you pay attention to when you are actually using your computer. As for the chassis, it is no longer magnesium alloy. Lenovo figured it is no longer necessary because now the entire system is protected by the roll cage. Once again check Andrew's review, he says it's very sturdy; albeit without the magnesium alloy.
