This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     T61 + Adv Mini dock, live-undocking?

    Greetings, fellow carbon-based bipedal Thinkpad owners.

    I have a T61, and recently got an advanced mini dock.

    Is it safe, hardware wise to undock while the system is running? I'm not worried about active network connections, since I would close those first. I only have a PS/2 keyboard, USB mouse and monitor connected (via VGA) to my Thinkpad.

    I don't use Easy Eject as I have no real use for it.

    Can I just *cough* pull out? :D
