    Hi ,

Whenever I have headphones fully plugged in my T61's audio jack, I can only hear sound on the left side. If I start pulling out the connector, eventually I hear on both sides, but I have to pull it out about 4 millimeters. I tested with different headphones and I'm positive the jack is the problem. I've also tried moving the connector around while it's in all the way to see if the sound would eventually play in stereo, but no. I've made sure that it was not a balance issue and that I was playing on both sides software wise. Is my only option sending the laptop to Lenovo ? I really need it for school :(

    Regards

You could get a USB sound card ( like this $3.98 one) and plug your headphones into it. This isn't the most elegant solution, but it could work for you until you have enough time to send your ThinkPad in.

For some weird reason is seems to be working fine now. If it pops up again I'll look into sending it in.
