    Vista Ultimate 32bit
    Intel Integrated Graphics

This happens about 50% of the time when I resume.

The BSOD is just a Stop code. It doesnt give a DLL or driver file that caused and error. It is usually a 0x96 or 0x8E stop code number. Searching for these on google or MS technet gives about a million causes.

I have run memtest for extended periods of time and found no errors with the RAM.

I do have the Intel Turbo Memory card, but have tried uninstalling it and the BSOD's still happen (though they seem less frequent with the turbo memory drivers uninstalled).

I have updated to all the latest files on the Lenovo site, including the new BIOS from a couple days ago. The only Thinkvantage software I have installed is the Power Manager, the lenovo system driver, and the OSD and hotkey drivers.

I know that on my desktop PC, also running Vista Ultimate, that the Nvidia video card drivers for my 8800 GTS card have major problems with resuming from sleep. Not sure if the T61's integrated graphics driver could have the same issues....maybe something related to Vista's new graphics driver framework.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jeff

Happens to another T61 which was bought at the same time as mine..

Ours is a T61 w/ 2GB Ram, Nvidia Quadro, 120GB Harddisk. No Intel turbo memory. I only get the BSOD wake the laptop up after sleeping it. Both laptops have the same problem. Anyone encounter this problem? Already tried updating all the drivers to the latest.

Make sure you have this installed: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-67820.html
Its the latest turbo mem driver.

Once you install it, disable readydrive but keep readyboost enabled. Is this problem only happening while you are on battery or does it happen when you are plugged in as well?

    Not really.

We used the recovery partition to reformat. Our notebooks doesn't come with the Vista installation CD.

    How do I solve this?

I brought it to the service centre, and they said they don't know what's wrong, and they can't give me a 1-1 exchange.

I've went back to the shop I bought it, and they said, they can't exchange it for a new one.

I only have the laptop for 6 days and now, I'm going to be stuck with a lemon thinkpad?

I paid premium price for a solid laptop!

That shop doesn't want to accept our returned goods. I'm trying to get in contact with a regional head for Lenovo, since even the Lenovo Service Centre doesn't want to do an exchange.

This is really a bad experience for me. I bought the thinkpad series because I know they are a trusted brand. But now it doesn't seem to be the case.

I really hope there's people on this forum whom can help me.

    I got no idea.

I got no idea how to disable it. I've looked in my Device Manager, and can't find any Intel Turbo Memory device.

After installing the Turbo Memory driver, look in your start menu for Intel Turbo Memory Console application. It will allow you disable ReadyDrive and/or Readyboost.

I have disabled both, and uninstalled the drivers and still get BSOD's when resuming from sleep...though not nearly as often as when turbo memory was turned on.

There is one other fix ... you can completly uninstall turbo memory from control panel/uninstall program, it restores sanity as well.
