I'm running Vista SP1 (64bit) with an extenal dell Monitor as the primary screen - with a quadro 570 with a 4 gigabyte T61p.

A couple of times a day, my screen blacks out then returns to normal. It does not crash or bsod.

Vista reports that it has repaired my video driver and things continue on their merry way.

Has anyone seen this or know what the fix is?

Renee: Please do not create multiple threads for the same problem. I deleted the other thread.

    Thank you.

That was an accident John. I don't really know how it happened.
    Thank you for deleting it.

I suspect Vista said that it reset the video driver. What happens is the driver crashes, but Vista catches the problem, and resets it - which causes the screen the black out for a couple of seconds. Try getting the latest driver from nVidia and see if that fixes the issue.

Is it recommended to get the driver from NVIDIA or lenovo? I'm pretty sure I have the latest NVIDIA driver of Lenovo'e.
