The T61/p has 3 USB ports. Two are located on the left and one on the right, all in vertical positions.

    1. Given the limitations (if any) of having 3 USB ports, would you choose a Wireless RF or a Wireless Bluetooth mouse?

    2. What are the advantages/disadvantages of both

Bluetooth -- seemed to have better battery life, and responsiveness in comparison to the one or two RF mice I have owned in my time.

I currently use an RF mouse, I went without Bluetooth on mine to save money and I would never use it, no problems here im using a Logitech and the model number is currently evading me.

I use all three USB ports, and could potentially need a fourth at times.

    Left Side
    1. Palm 700p tethered for wireless access anywhere
    2. SanDisk 4GB Titanium USB Drive
    3. Apple iPod Nano (gen II)

    Right Side:
    1. Logitech USB Notebook Mouse

Is there any lag time when using a BlueTooth mouse? Any worse than wireless laser mouse?

I love my VX Nano. Leave the receiver plugged in all the time. I had a (cheap) bluetooth mouse that I used for a couple months. The battery life wasn't that great. It wasn't instant on, I would have to wait for it to pair. It was flakey sometimes. When it worked, it was fine, but the reliability of the VX Nano is way superior, and with the small receiver, I can just leave it plugged in all the time and it is no problem.

How heavy is the VX Nano? I was thinking of giving this one a try but I have the VX Revolution and I honestly think it sux. It's too heavy and I've had issues with "hand-pointer sync" (my hand moves a certain distance, but the pointer doesn't seem to match)

I didn't have any lag with my mouse. It takes a second or two to wake up. I did try out Team Fortress 2 with it the other day and it really wasn't that bad at all.

I had a Revolution VX and now have a Revolution Nano. My VX got squished (apparently) and the search button on top got stuck in the permanently on position. Software wasn't able to reliably disable this all the time.

Love the Nano transceiver, but I actually liked the feel of the VX better. I wish you could store the receiver in the mouse like the VX but not under the battery cover like the Nano. I really want the MS Wireless Presenter and just use bluetooth and no transciever, but so far the quality reviews on Amazon are scaring me away.

To be perfectly honest, the Nano is plugged in my Dell M65 full time and my thinkpads have never had it connected. Unless I am doing Photoshop or something that requires a lot of precision, I much prefer using the trackpoint (with the classic dome, of course).

I like having back/forward buttons on my mouse. Did not find any good bluetooth mouses that would have that.
So at the moment using VX Revolution, it is the best notebook mouse for sure - just would be nice if it would be bluetooth.
The only bluetooth mouse that I might consider is Microsoft Notebook Bluetooth Mouse 5000 ($49.99), but it has only back button and it is not as comfortable as Logitech.
I do no understand why Logitech does not want to produce more high-end bluetooth mouses...

I've been keen to pick up the VX Nano since reading a review on NBR: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3858

I really like the idea of the small receiver because I hate things sticking out the side...I'm sometimes careless. LaptopGuru, is the feel really bad or is it a matter of preference? How is it in the real world, on the go (ie, messing things up being constantly pluged in USB causing error messages, losing the receiver)?

Logitech has a new Bluetooth mouse out now. It's the V470, I think. Anybody try this one yet?
