    T61 - XP Takes longer than normal to catch wireless signal

    it seems like it's strugling to get the DNS (takes about 30-45 seconds)

    it should take only 20 seconds max. how can I fix this?

    T61 w/XP SP2 fresh installed. (latest drivers as well)

    I believe there are several hotfixes for the wireless lan. Have you run update?

    Make sure your router is set up properly. It could be a router config error. Check over all the settings. Also, windows update does have wireless hotfixes. And check your adapter drivers as well.

    i use the thinkvantage update but hesitate to install any "patches"
