I just got the T61 and went to use Vista Disk Mgmt - set up a new volume - just like PC World said recently. What could possibly go wrong...

It worked slicked until I went to reboot and got the Windows error window. I could go to Rescue/Restore but that didn't work.

I called up Lenovo and they said, "Yeah... we hear partitioning is iffy... that's too bad... and R&R won't work because you messed up the drive. We'll send some free recovery disks though."

They said they've had trouble since the T40 series. Hmmm.

I've used Acronis Disk director suite to re-partition and no problems, but the combo of T61 and Vista, something went hay-wire.

P.S. My wife wants to know, "How the heck can you break a new computer, maybe you need a Mac!" Ugggh...
