    i was just wondering how do i find out if my T61 has got turbo memory module?

    if you have turbo memory and all the features are enabled, you will see IMB-0 under storage in the device manager. Another easy way to tell is to lift the keyboard and look towards the lower left hand corner.

    Is it something i can install my self and install the driver for? Is that all i'd need to do?

    You can buy it through amazon.com or wherever, you can install the driver yourself from somewhere. Stallen was the king of clean swipe and upgrade, so do a search for user Stallen and topic Intel Turbo Memory. It'll be an earlier date, right around 7/21 or so, when people started getting their T61P's.
