    I recieved my 2nd T61 14 Widescreen today,as soon as it booted up I knew the LCD was grainy...
    When I checked the Manufacturer with PC Wizard 2008,I was surprised
    the screen is a LP141WP1
    There goes the theory that LG LCDs are not prone to lousy looking panels :(

    i have no idea what you're talking about. please elaborate. i just ordered T61 14" so i want to know what u're talking about.

    Try calibrating the display. I did this on my Samsung and it helped. It's not that bad. Doesn't compare to high end desktop displays but IMO it's decent.

    just call lenovo and find the nearest service center. Tell them about the issue and ask for a different screen. I did this with my brother's screen and they swapped it out.

    also did a mail exchange for my segate harddrive (marble drop sound) and asked for the hitachi instead.
